Abortion

Abortion, everyone has an opinion and thoughts on the topic. The debate is almost always divided into the pro-choice side and the pro-life side. Just a couple of weeks ago there was a giant display in my school mall about abortion and the pro-life side. The display showed pictures of the operation and how it is similar to lynching and arguments like that. As I walked up to the display multiple people handed me pamphlets with graphic pictures while the people hosting the display came up to me to ask what I thought of it. When I told them my views we had a conversation both taking turns giving our opposite opinions on the topic. Overall the conversation was educational but I still didn't change my stance on pro-choice.     Why am I pro-choice and why is it such an important topic for me? As someone who is an advocate for human rights why am I so ok with, as the pro-life side puts it, murder? I have come to be a big women's rights advocate and I think t...

This tweet shows two pictures, in the pictures the two different people have the same expression giving the same emotion. A little backstory to each of these pictures, the first picture is of Brett Kavanaugh being questioned about sexually assaulting Christine Ford when they were younger. He was being interviewed for a position in the supreme court. When being questioned he didn't fully answer the questions, was rude to the people asking those questions, and spazzed out and started to raise his voice.  The second picture is of Sarina Williams, one of the most famous tennis player. To begin, there is visual communication. This type of communication can be used with signs, to sign language, to facial expressions. A common way would also be writing/drawing things down. Benefits of Women in Education.

Image
We often talk about the problems and struggles for girls in education, it is important that we also talk about the results and benefits of it. There are many reasons that girls need to be sent to school starting with creating healthier families. Educated woman are more aware of health and protected sex but can also pass it down to their kids. They can also pass down the knowledge and influence of women in education. It is more likely for the children of educated women to go to school than women who do not. Getting girls to school also helps with the child marriage issue, like the "Global Partnership for Education" states "If all girls had secondary education in sub-Saharan Africa and south ans west Asia, child marriage would fall by 64%, from almost 2.9 to just over 1 million." This is an important issue that sending girls to school can improve.    Another important cause that results from educated women is more women leaders. It is important to have more women ...

Here in america we don't really see an issue with girls having an education, in fact its mandatory for both boys and girls to go to school. When we think about girls not allowed to go to school we think its crazy, but in other country's that is the reality. There are so many factors that go into girls not getting a proper education ranging from the overall look of society to even the bathrooms that are provided for them. One place where It is a major issue is in India so many girls there do not have a proper education like The Atlantic Issue "The Groups Fighting for Girls' Education in India" states "Particularly here in Rajasthan, where only 52.66 percent are literate and some 350,000 are not in school, according to Educate Girls" this is only in one part of the country it is so much worse if it is all put together.  One common issue in India that prevents girls from going to school is child brides.
